Dear family,

We finally listened to your demands for that “family hookup” and knocked a smooth 30% off the top. Hell, we even threw down the shipping to a flat $5 no matter the size of your order. So consider this a thank you for telling us to try harder and always keep it fresh. Now please, just use your discount, buy some goods and let us focus on Spring. It’s getting crazy in here!

H-town Sneaker Summit Recap

by Desired Hearts

We set up shop this past Sunday at the H-town Sneaker Summit in Houston. This was our second summit to attend, but first to set up at. It was, by all means, a positive experience. The Texas colorway of the “Heart of Gold” shirt was a hit, but the real treat was getting to meet all of the people who came by the booth. It’s really the first time we’ve been able to meet a lot of our followers and customers face to face. Thank you all for the good vibes and support.

Along with meeting some of our fans, we were really excited to chat with two people we happen to be huge fans of; Levi Maestro and Bun B. Bun is always at home in a Houston crowd and the fans know it. I think Levi was a little surprised to see how much love the H really showed him. Both of them got hooked up with Heart of Gold tees and Levi was kind enough to slide us one of his shirts he was releasing at the event.

Another summit exclusive this year was the “Space City” Shirts (seen below) and hats inspired by the recent release of the Space Jams. This was a collaboration done with Akomplice Clothing. It’s only fitting since Houston is Space City.

If you’ve never been to one of the biannual summits and you’re into sneaker culture, then you need to make it a point to attend the next one. We’ll see you there.

Like we said last week, we’ll have some exclusive heat for the H-town Sneaker Summit this Sunday. Along with entire fall/winter line, Desired Hearts will be releasing an exclusive Texas colorway in the classic “Heart of Gold” tee, designed by none other than Benny Gold.

Reprints aren’t a common thing around here, so if you didn’t get one the first time around, the Sneaker Summit is your second and last chance. There will be less than 50 pieces available. See you there!

H-townWinter09We’re gearing up for one of our favorite events down here in Texas, the biannual H-town Sneaker Summit. Taking place Sunday, December 27th from 3-8pm, the 35,000 sq ft Meridian will be a packed full of sneakers, streetwear, art, as well as live music and skateboarding. This year’s special guest include the legendary Bobbito Garcia and Levi Maestro of “Maestro Knows. ” Maestro will debuting the release of his very first “Maestro Knows” tee shirt at the event. Also on the list of exclusive freshness, will be our own Benny Gold x Desired Hearts “Heart of Gold” tee done in a SUPER limited Texas colorway.

In anticipation of the event, we caught up with event creator, Kadoma to bring you a little insight on who he is and how the whole thing got started.

We present to you the final result of the Desired Hearts x Volume Bike Co. Cutter frame. Congrats to Jeff “Backstabbin” Puckett for winning the frame last weekend at Ride the Republic. We hooked up with him earlier today between quarters of the Dallas/Atlanta game so we could get some pics of it fully built out.

THANK YOU again to Brian Castillo and the rest of the Volume peeps for reaching out and making this happen! And thank you Peru for your matchmaking skills.

More pics after the jump

Rock the Republic = Success

by Desired Hearts

Rock the Republic

So this weekend, Bryan, TX played host to the first annual Rock the Republic, billed as a “Spectacle of Sight and Sound.”

With more than 100 acts over the 3 day event, attendees got to enjoy a diverse line-up including spoken word poetry, hip-hop, southern rock, electro pop, dance, folk, soul, and I’m sure a couple of other genres I didn’t catch. And the little detail that made this event so special, is that all the artist were from right here in the Lonestar State.

Something we shared with the festival was our Creative Director, Roby Fitzhenry. He and the rest of the team did a great job of finding great talent and organizing an event that will surely return even more successful in future years.

Here’s a sneak peek of the super exclusive Cutter frame we’re collaborating with Volume Bikes on. Again, the only way to win this beast is to win the freestyle fixed gear jam during Ride The Republic, a “spectacle” of Rock The Republic. The finished frame, with decals and all will be shown after the jam goes down. So stay tuned. Huge thanks to Volume for letting this go down. Your tees are on the way fellas!

Fresh on the scene and already collaborating with a leader in the fixed gear community? Indeed! Desired Hearts will collabo with Volume Bikes on a one-off Cutter frame. It’s so exclusive that the only way to nab it is to win the freestyle jam at Ride The Republic in Downtown Bryan, Texas. Keep watch for what’s up. Sneak peeks are around the bend.
